Inside Sales Representative

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for providing premier customer service to all current and potential customers from the point of initial contact through delivery of the product. The Inside Sales Representative must also achieve sales and profit goals established by the management team at TEK Northeast. (TEK).
- Increase sales and provide support for current customer base as assigned.
- Meet daily, weekly and monthly sales goals set by management, i.e. dollars booked and calls per day.
- Promptly respond to Request for Quotes for current and potential customers. Overall goal is no later than 24 hours per RFQ.
- Provide technical assistance and solutions for customer returns.
- Formulate analysis of sales data to assist in establishing specific account pricing.
- Perform follow up on all quotations in a timely manner.
- Proactively review open orders and advise customers of delivery status changes.
- Contribute to a positive work environment based on teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Communicate effectively with other Inside Sales Representatives, Outside Sales and management.
- Provide Director of Sales with reports as assigned.
- Adhere to all TEK’s safety rules, regulations, and quality standards.
- Adhere to all TEK’s handbook policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two or more years of sales experience
- Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Marketing experience, ensuring ability to recognize opportunities
- Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Ability to effectively multi-task and work independently on assigned tasks
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to transfer data accurately
- Strong work ethic; self-motivated
- Operate with high integrity, maintaining positive relations with co-workers, customers, and suppliers
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or related area
- Four or more years of experience in sales and marketing
