What You'll Do/Need (Job Summary): Create and support both existing and new business of all products sold by Clifton Steel.  Respond to customer questions and inquiries by providing knowledge, guidance, and consultation as required. Conduct sales efforts with direction from respective co-workers, director of customer service, company sales manager and account manager(s). Employee will be responsible for the growth and development of a set number of assigned accounts, including, but not limited to mature, growth, and prospect accounts. Employee will also be responsible for the care of house accounts. Employee is expected to create opportunities for sales and growth of new and existing accounts by means of phone, email, on-site visits, etc.  They are also responsible for the creation and execution of quotations, engineering job overview instructions, and entry of orders using ERM/MRP system. 

 

Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Responsibilities)

  • Support outside sales through inquiries and orders.
  • Create and support existing and new business development of all products sold by Clifton Steel.
  • Respond to customer questions or inquiries by providing knowledge, guidance, and consultation as required.
  • Conduct sales efforts with direction from and communication with respective co-workers, director of customer service, engineering, sales manager, and account manager(s).
  • Employee will create opportunities for sales and growth of new and existing accounts.
  • Responsible for the creation of quotations, engineering job overview instructions, and entry of orders using ERM/MRP system.
  • Utilizing company CRM in regards to part history, profitability, call entry logs, and development of customer accounts.
  • Communicate both internal and external issues in order to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for growth, development, and overall management of his/her direct assigned accounts as well as overall shared house accounts.
  • Follow-up on submitted quotations in effort to capture opportunity.
  • Follow-up with customers post-delivery for overall company performance feedback.
  • Effectively utilize computer systems to enhance, develop, and carry out job responsibilities efficiently.
  • Develop strong customer relationships.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, skills, and abilities required)

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Positive work ethic and culture; adoptive of Clifton Corporate Behaviors
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to read blueprints (or willing to learn)
  • Fluent in Microsoft Windows, Works, Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Moderate math skills required
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills required
  • Punctual and reliable

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position.  Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Travel

This position may require up to 5-10% travel. Travel may entail outside the local area and overnight.

Individual sales goal commission incentive (Quarterly)
