Inside Sales Representative

If so, we have an exciting career opportunity for you as an experienced Inside Sales Representative. This position is based out of our Edmonton office and showroom.


Our Inside Sales Representatives are at the core of our business; working closely with our sales teams and Regional Sales Manager, they are deeply committed to fostering client relationships and providing timely service. Your daily tasks will see you closely with your teammates to research the local design industry, identify key business accounts, and reach out to prospective customers through various channels to support them on their ongoing and future projects. You will be an asset as you prepare, manage, and coordinate project quotations and follow up on them for successful business transactions. This opportunity is ideal if you are a strong communicator, have a knack for business, and take pride in putting out high quality proposals. You must be at ease working in an exciting, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment. Most of all, you must be a team player and self-motivated. 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research, identify and contact key LightForm customer accounts with the intent of expanding LightForm’s reach in your local market

  • Effectively communicate the high quality designer products and services LightForm has to offer

  • Work to towards sales targets and other KPIs focused on growth in your local design industry

  • Support team of Account Executives and Regional Sales Manager to ensure optimal customer service at all times

  • Coordinate overall project activities and tasks with clients (engineering firms, electrical distributors, designers) and vendors

  • Maintain an up-to-date situation about the clients’ quotes

  • Respond to emails to address client concerns and project issues

  • Provide input and analysis that identifies any potential issues or misalignments and provide input into solutions to increase efficiency

  • Carry out a wide range of work, either independently or under general direction from the Regional Sales Manager


SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS

  • High level of communication both verbal and written

  • Goal oriented, driven and passionate about sales and business development

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and vision for creative business ideas

  • Persistence in overcoming obstacles and roadblocks

  • Ability to assume responsibility and exercise independent judgment

  • Ability to evaluate assignments, determine procedures, and implement solutions, schedule work to meet objectives, participate in short- and long-range planning

  • Effective time management skills with the ability to multitask and work on multiple projects concurrently under strict deadlines

  • Outstanding customer service skills

  • Self-motivated: demonstrated initiative with a strong sense of urgency

  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and interact with staff at various levels of the organization


EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

Degree or diploma in Business Administration, Architectural Technologist, Interior Design or Communications

Project Management experience is an assets

Experience in Google Suite and NetSuite an asset

Experience in a sales and/or business environment

Lighting or electrical knowledge is an asset
