Fort Garry Industries has an exciting opportunity for a Counter Sales Representative to join our team at our Sarnia location.
What You Will Do:
- Sell parts to customers and build customer relationships by correctly identifying parts needed, taking orders, creating invoices, billing out freight and collecting payment.
- Increase sales and decrease obsolete stock by making suggestions, upselling products and advising customers on product applications.
- Special order parts or source from other branches when necessary
- Answer customer questions about products, prices, availability, product catalogs and features
- Process approved credits for customers when merchandise is returned
- May deliver parts to customers with a company vehicle
- May operate a forklift within the branch
- Other duties as assigned
What We Require:
- High school diploma or other high school equivalence certificate
- 1-3 years of experience selling heavy duty parts preferred
- Excellent customer service skills – dedicated to exceeding the expectations of internal and external customers.
- Strong written and verbal skills – ability to write and speak succinctly with customers and colleagues.
- Basic to proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (email, word, excel) and ability to learn in-house systems.
- Completion of parts technician trades program an asset
