Job Summary

Odyssey House Louisiana, Inc. is seeking a full-time exempt Inpatient Services Program Manager. The schedule for this position is at least M-F 8am-5pm including holidays, nights, and weekends as needed for the 24 hour Program. The Inpatient Services Program Manager position encompasses a wide variety of administrative tasks. This position manages and administers the day-to-day operations of the Inpatient Services program. The Inpatient Services Program Manager oversees the hiring and training of all program staff. The Inpatient Services Program Managers also assume several key responsibilities in client care and oversight of all program components. The Inpatient Services Program Manager acts as liaison with internal and external parties and is responsible for balancing the program budget and maintaining the client census in a fiscally responsible manner. The Inpatient Services Program Manager oversees detox and residential programming including nursing, behavioral health technicians, utilization review team, admissions team, clinical, and ancillary staff.

          

Responsibilities and Duties

It is the duty and responsibility of the Inpatient Services Program Manager to:

·        assume a leadership role within the agency;

·        act as a positive role model for staff and clients;

·        promote the agency culture and values;

·        effectively recruit, orient, on-board, train, coach, counsel, and evaluate staff in with support/ input from Program Supervisors, HR and Compliance

·        ensure staff adhere to agency-wide and program specific policies and procedures;

·        meet the demands of a program that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days week;

·        demonstrate a deep knowledge of overall program functions;

·        monitor and ensure timely movement of clients through the treatment program;

·        ensure proper management of the client census and maximize the utilization of revenue/finding (including billing for insurance) sources;

·        maintain program client census numbers and manage costs;

·        ensure proper authorizations and documentation for billing;

·        demonstrate a deep knowledge Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) requirements and maintain and implement LDH facility regulations;

·        demonstrate a deep knowledge of the Council on Accreditation (COA) requirements and implement COA standards for facilities;

·        Demonstrate a deep understanding of Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities

·        demonstrate a deep knowledge of Program contractual obligations and implement all contract requirements;

·        maintain and keep documentation of licensing standards, accreditation standards, and contract requirements;

·        ensure workflow efficiency and streamlining;

·        ensure training manuals are provided to staff;

·        timely review, update, change, and add program specific policies and procedures as needed, and at least once annually;

·        ensure staff follow safety requirements, monitor safety violations, and implement corrective actions;

·        ensure timely reporting to state and federal data tracking and management sources is competed;

·        participate in  review of state and federal regulations with state regional contract monitors with direction from Compliance;

·        ensure contractual obligations are met, develop responses to contract monitors and corrective action plans as needed;

·        support the Compliance Teams in the  maintenance of all facility licenses and procure a new facility license each year;

·        ensure the facility is clean, safe, and in good working order;

·        ensure required chart documentation is in place and effective;

·        ensure all clinical client charts are following regulatory and funding expectations;

·        report ethical violations to supervisor and to other accrediting agencies as required; 

·        ensure HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability) requirements are met;

·        work collaboratively with the Accounting, Compliance and Quality Assurance, Development and Human Resources Departments;

·        work collaboratively with all contracted parties;

·        attend community meetings with partners and funding sources and establish collaborative relationships with other community agencies;

·        participate in programmatic discussion with staff and funders; and

·        perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications and Skills

Required

·        Master’s Degree in a Helping Profession; Master’s Degree in healthcare administration or Master’s Degree in Business Administration

·        At least 2 years of supervisory experience managing multiple teams of employees

·        Proficient in MS Office 365 Suite

·        Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills

 

Preferred

·        Substance Use Disorder experience including ASAM criteria
