Infrastructure Project Inspector

We are looking for a Project Inspector to join our Overland Park, Kansas team.
Responsibilities may include:
Conduct thorough on-site inspections of Public Infrastructure properties, assessing compliance with design specifications, construction standards, and regulatory requirements.
Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to gain a comprehensive understanding of project requirements and objectives.
Perform measurements, tests, and computations as necessary to accurately assess project progress and compliance.
Prepare detailed reports documenting inspection findings, including non-compliance issues and recommendations for corrective action.
Provide technical assistance and support to contractors and other stakeholders, addressing construction issues and ensuring adherence to project requirements.
Review and approve contractor submittals, including materials, shop drawings, and equipment, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
Attend project meetings, including pre-construction and progress meetings, actively contributing with your expertise and guidance as needed.
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes and timely completion.
Stay updated on federal, state, and local regulations related to construction, incorporating changes into inspection processes and procedures.
Utilize computer applications, including Microsoft Office and other relevant software, to accurately record inspection data and generate reports.
Required Skills/Abilities
3+ years of experience in private land development construction inspection or a related field.
Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and standards applicable to private land development projects.
Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations governing construction and development activities.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and blueprints with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey inspection findings and recommendations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, enabling accurate assessment of project compliance and identification of corrective actions.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively as part of a project team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant computer programs to record and report inspection data.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
