Rapid Strategy is seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and play a vital role in maintaining and evolving our virtual and network infrastructure. This dynamic role encompasses daily technical support, installation, maintenance, and optimization of network hardware and software within a multi-vendor, multi-platform environment.  Rapid Strategy is an award-winning and  African-American owned small business providing cybersecurity services to the private and public sector. This is a full-time position that will be onsite. Up to 10% remote work is authorized with approval.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning, coordinating, configuring, installing, and managing all data and network infrastructure, including Kubernetes, Windows, and Linux systems, to ensure operational efficiency and meet business requirements.
  • Providing technical expertise in implementing new technologies, focusing on Kubernetes containerization and Linux administration.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving network-related issues with a focus on high availability and performance.
  • Collaborating with System Architects and Engineers to design, optimize, and secure the infrastructure.
  • Monitoring system activity and performance metrics, identifying potential issues, and implementing proactive solutions.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and logs of system configuration and changes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in network infrastructure management.
  • Bachelor's/Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
  • Secret clearance required.
  • 5+ years of experience with VMware vSphere virtualization environments.
  • 2+ years of experience in network engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in data center operations.

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with containerization technologies, especially Kubernetes.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and administering Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Expertise with VMware technologies like vSphere, NSX-T, NSX Advanced Load Balancer, and vCloud Director (vCD).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • PKI Certificates 
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • experience with Virtu is a plus
