The IT Support Tech works in the office at our Support Center in Laporte, CO, where JAX Team Members support our stores in providing excellent customer service.  This role  provides technical support, responds quickly to solve problems, and works on IT projects.  IT Support may be called upon to address urgent issues affecting store operations during off-hours.  Regular duties will include work on our network, servers, hardware, software, and all applications, troubleshooting and resolving tickets.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Provides setup and configuration of computers and peripherals
  • Installs software, updates, drivers, and peripherals in a Windows/Mac environment
  • Repairs hardware and peripherals for individual users 
  • Establishes and troubleshoots user accounts and access to multiple programs and servers 
  • Tests programs, troubleshoots and diagnoses problems
  • Works to find and implement solutions within JAX technical parameters
  • Delivers and installs hardware and peripherals for business operations
  • Coordinates inventory of technical assets for JAX
  • Troubleshoots phone system setup and issues 
  • May be called upon to assist with investigations by accessing records and generating reports 
  • Maintains systems and databases
  • Transfers computer files between platforms 
  • Escalates issues to IT management when appropriate
  • Partners with others, including Human Resources, to ensure onboarding, changing, or offboarding user accounts is accomplished
  • Handles confidential information with respect for privacy and appropriate security
  • Maintains a clean workspace and organized records 
  • Communicates professionally, presenting a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Takes steps to advance teamwork and develop solid working relationships with co-workers.
Our ideal candidate has prior customer service experience, and is willing to pitch-in where needed,  even helping with the occasional office cleaning.  Additional knowledge, skills or abilities include:
  • Two years of Information Technology experience required 
  • Must be proficient in cross platform knowledge (Mac and Windows operating systems)
  • Required experience working with Office 365 
  • Required experience trouble-shooting hardware and peripheral issues (printers, keyboards, phone systems, etc.)
  • Previous experience coordinating inventory, installation and upgrades for hardware and peripherals preferred 
  • Skilled at resolving issues with MS Office Suite 
  • Server and Network knowledge helpful 
  • Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance knowledge helpful 
  • Knowledge of storage solutions and Network Attached Storage helpful
  • Active Directory experience useful 
  • CompTia A+ desired 

Schedule Requirements:

  • Generally, M-F business hours
  • Some flexibility for on-call availability 

Pay Range:  Starting range $16.00 - $18.50 hourly
