EFS-plastics Inc. is a successful, growing recycling company that recovers plastic from residential recycling programs. Your detergent bottles, milk jugs and plastic bags all end up at EFS, where we turn them into plastic resin pellets that can be used to make new products.

Current Opportunity: We’re looking to fill a Full-time position for Industrial Mechanic/Millwright Weekend Supervisor for our plastic recycling facility in Listowel, ON.

Industrial Mechanic / Millwright Responsibilities:

·      Assemble industrial machinery 

·       Repair broken or defective machinery, using welding and machining

·       Align equipment by using specialized tools

·       Troubleshoot mechanical issues

·       Suggest and implement improvements

·       Review and follow highly technical and complex machinery manuals 

·       Move machines for installation or repairs

·       Disassemble machine parts for transporting or repair

·       Rebuild gearboxes and pumps

·       Collaborate with production, contractors and engineers

·       Carry out preventative maintenance duties

·       Complete electronic work orders

Requirements:

- Millwright or equivalent experience

- Industrial Mechanic experience
- Good eye for quality control
- Mechanical aptitude
- Welding experience
- Forklift experience
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to learn
- Able to work fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude, courteous manner, flexibility
- Team player
- Consistently reliable and dependable

• Secondary School (preferred)
