CEG is seeking an Industrial Hygiene Technician to support our client in Toledo, Ohio or Cleveland, OH. The Industrial Hygiene Technician is responsible for learning and performing various aspects of environmental field work related to asbestos, lead, mold, radon, indoor air quality (IAQ), and industrial hygiene. 

 Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct asbestos-related work activities: inspection and bulk sample collection, abatement oversight, air monitoring, and air clearance sampling
  • Conduct lead-based paint-related work activities: inspections/risk assessments and sampling, abatement oversight, dust wipe/air clearance sampling, and report writing
  • Conduct IAQ and mold-related work activities: initial inspection and investigations, environmental sampling, remediation oversight, and pre/post-remediation air clearance sampling
  • Prepare reports documenting building sciences activities or projects
  • Identify potential sources of contamination when working on a job site
  • Document all field activities being performed

 Desired Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of a two-year college degree, preferably in a related field.
  • Experience in surveying sites for asbestos, lead-based paint, and hazardous materials, air monitoring, and/or mold investigations
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize diversified workload
  • Proficiency with standard computer programs, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of public and private entities.
  • Asbestos and Lead certifications highly desired

  • Must be willing to travel up to 50%
