Industrial HVAC Technician

Star Service of Houston, the leading HVAC service provider throughout the entire Gulf Coast, is looking for an experienced Nested HVAC Industrial Technician to join our on-site maintenance team in the Corpus Cristi, TX area!

As a “nested” Industrial Technician, you will be providing dedicated HVAC support to ensure reliable climate control and air quality for critical refinery operations. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial HVAC systems in a demanding, safety-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of HVAC, refrigeration, and ventilation systems.
• Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure system efficiency and compliance.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical HVAC issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts usage, and work performed.
• Collaborate with refinery operations and maintenance teams to plan and execute HVAC-related projects and shutdowns.
• Adhere strictly to all site-specific safety, health, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of industrial/commercial HVAC maintenance experience (refinery or petrochemical environment preferred).
• Strong knowledge of chillers, air handlers, split systems, package units, controls, and refrigeration systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Comfortable working in industrial environments, including at heights and in confined spaces.
• High school diploma or GED required.
