Industrial Electrician  

Job Summary
The Industrial Electrician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems supporting underground mining roof support and longwall equipment, as well as shop infrastructure. This role ensures electrical systems operate safely, reliably, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems and controls
• Diagnose electrical faults and perform troubleshooting
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and manuals
• Perform electrical testing and verification
• Support electrical upgrades and new equipment installations
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience as an industrial or maintenance electrician
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures
• Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical systems
• Strong attention to detail and safety

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Industrial electrical environment involving energized systems, electrical panels, and powered equipment, requiring compliance with electrical safety standards, PPE, lockout/tagout procedures.
• Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, climb ladders and access elevated areas, bend, kneel, reach, and work in confined or restricted spaces while performing electrical work. Must be capable of safely handling tools, cables, and components, working around energized systems, and strictly following electrical safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
