Brand Coordinator

Charlottetown, PE Full-time $45000.00-$55000.00/year

The Brand Coordinator is responsible in assisting with the delivery of key retail and business marketing, event, and communication initiatives for the organization’s suite of brands. In addition, they will serve as a key point of contact between internal and external partners and stakeholders, coordinating feedback, approvals and ultimately execution of deliverables.

This is a hardworking, hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves environment emphasizing a team-oriented and collaborative style. It will be key for the candidate to embrace change and see past obstacles with a focus on solutions in the context of a company undergoing rapid growth and ongoing functional integration. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Manage the organizations marketing inventory and other assets required to support Sales, budtenders and product education
  • Assist in managing swag vendor management to ensure we are creating desired items at an efficient cost
  • Work with shipping and receiving to ensure physical marketing assets are delivered in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop display packaging in advance of launches and replenish current inventory as needed
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders in the development of educational and communications initiatives in support of the company’s brand objectives.
  • Provide internal and external partners with all required assets (logo, working files, previous creative, and other assets as required)
  • Act as translation lead for French translation needs
  • Manage the DAM (Digital Asset Management) system and organize contents to ensure territory managers have all digital assets at their fingertips
  • Assist in managing internal SharePoint by keeping commercial digital resources organized and accessible 
  • Assist in agency/vendor project management and timelines
  • Manage timelines with external partners, including POS, swag and creative asset development
  • Social media responsibilities include, Community management, Answering/liking comments in a timely manner, Use of social media management platforms and  monthly reports, and Updating conversation matrix as needed
  • Be the connection between social and customer service and addressing consumer concerns
  • Lead event coordination with the companies third party sales agency; including POS/display assets, swag, prizes, communication with event partner, merchandizing strategy, and messaging strategy
  • Monitor the organizations performance at retail to uncover opportunities and provide recommendations for improvements 
  • Support the development of the company’s annual commercial plan
  • Assist the Brand Manager with special requests and projects that may be outside of day-to-day responsibilities 

The Ideal Candidate has:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field, or, equivalent experience 
  • Minimum 1-year experience working in a marketing or communications role 
  • Cannabis product knowledge and passion for the industry
  • Big picture, strategic thinking, coupled with a results-oriented and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Outstanding project management skills; ability to own projects and see them through to completion
  • A demonstrated willingness to learn and grow in the role
  • Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Must display proactive behaviour and take ownership of their actions 
  • Has access to reliable transportation to work full-time hours as scheduled (40 hours per week) 
  • Has the ability to provide a criminal record check that is clear of any charges that could be related or have a direct correlation to the position or company 
Job Details
Reports to: Brand Manager
Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000 annually, will be determined based on experience. 
Status: Full-time, permanent position
Schedule: regularly 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday

  • Must be able to complete duties with minimal supervision and comfortable working independently and safely

  • Fast-paced office environment with quickly changing priorities
Physical Demands
  • Must be comfortable sitting/standing at a desk and working at a computer for prolonged periods 
  • Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including but not limited to: pushing, pulling, lifting (up to 50lbs), standing, and walking for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to wear assigned Personal Protective Equipment including, but not limited to medical gloves, safety eyewear, face masks, etc. 
  • This position may involve exposure to cannabis/plant materials and is therefore not likely suitable for anyone that may suffer from allergies to cannabis or plant pollen, or for anyone that experiences medical issues as a result of exposure to cannabis/plant materials
Environmental Demands
  • Must be willing and able to work in/move through environments with variable temperature and humidity, and variable lighting.
  • Strong scent of cannabis plants
