Indigenous Doula (Permanent, Part-Time)
Are you passionate about supporting new mothers and their babies, especially within the Indigenous community? We are seeking an Indigenous Doula to join our Stabilization & Recovery team! In this vital role, you’ll provide strengths-based, trauma-informed support to families during the critical fourth trimester, helping them adjust to life with a newborn. With your lived experience of Indigenous culture and traditions, you will offer education, companionship, and practical assistance in the home, focusing on families needing higher levels of support. You’ll provide nonjudgmental guidance on newborn care, meal preparation, and daily living, all while honoring the traditions of the Ancestors. You will frequently deal with clients in crisis situations, brought about by diverse problems. There will be other staff nearby to assist as required.
The starting range for this position is $31.92 to $34.88 per hour.
