Schedule: Full-time M-F 8am to 6pm with weekends and nights as needed.

Primary Purpose: Responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing a comprehensive and engaging program of recreational, educational and wellness activities that promote independence, socialization, and quality of life for residents across campus wide independent living communities.  Oversee lifestyle staff and ensure coordination of all activities including planning, communication and execution of events and activities. 

Qualifications/Skills Needed:

  • High school diploma or GED.  

  • 2+ years in senior living, hospitality programming, or recreational programming – preferably with older adults.  

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 

  • Strong organization and time management abilities.  

Primary Duties (Essential Functions) include but are not limited to:


Program Development & Coordination:


  • Design and implement a monthly calendar of activities and events aligned with residents’ interests and needs.

  • Schedule, coordinate, and oversee recreational programs such as exercise and educational classes, arts and crafts, outings, lectures, games, entertainment, cognitive engagement, and social gatherings.

  • Arrange transportation and staff support for off-site trips and appointments when needed, while demonstrating an ability and willingness to drive company provided vehicles.

  • Oversee procurement and coordination of vendor relationships for each prospective independent living community.

  • Plan and organize activities for the Village Community.

Resident Engagement:

  • Assess residents’ preferences and abilities to personalize programming.

  • Encourage participation and build a sense of community and inclusion among residents.

  • Actively solicit feedback and evaluate program effectiveness.

  • Maintain a high level of accessibility to residents.

  • Utilize Above and Beyond best practices when engaging residents.

Team Leadership & Communication:

  • Supervise and schedule activity assistants, volunteers, and external program facilitators.

  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., dining, transportation) to support community-wide initiatives.

  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff about upcoming activities and events.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain an appropriate budget for the department.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and community guidelines.

  • Keep accurate records of attendance, resident preferences, and program evaluations.

  • Monitor and update activity related information in Uniguest application.
