Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an HVAC Installation Technician's Assistant. In this role, you'll work alongside experienced technicians to assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial settings.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist with Installations: Support senior technicians in the installation of HVAC systems including ductwork, furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation systems.
2. Equipment Preparation: Help prepare and stage equipment and materials needed for installations, ensuring all tools and supplies are readily available.
3. Technical Support: Assist technicians in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during installations or repairs, learning valuable skills along the way.
4. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, maintaining a safe and clean work environment at all times.
5. Customer Interaction: Interact professionally with customers, providing courteous service and addressing any questions or concerns they may have during installations.
6. Documentation: Assist with the completion of installation documentation and paperwork, ensuring accurate records are maintained for each project.
7. Learning and Development: Take advantage of opportunities for on-the-job training and skill development, working towards advancement within the company.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
- Prior experience in HVAC or construction-related field is a plus, but not required
