Systems Contractors, a full-service HVAC/Mechanical Contractor, is hiring a HVAC Commercial Sales Engineer for our Greensboro or Raleigh-Durham office.
THE ROLE AT A GLANCE:
- Candidate must perform all aspects of developing preliminary and /or definitive detailed estimates and proposals for labor, materials, and equipment associated with mechanical construction projects encompassing hydronic/weld piping and sheet metal.
- Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor.
- Obtain and evaluate vendor and sub-contractor pricing for compliance with project specifications and drawings.
- Attend pre-bid site meetings, verify site conditions, and interface with Owners, Developers, and General Contractors.
- Manage the bid preparation and formal written proposal process in its entirety.
- Electronically maintain records of all working documents and data to back up estimates and proposals.
- Collaborate with internal engineering and project management teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE:
· Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of proven successful experience preparing estimates and proposals for commercial and industrial mechanical projects.
- Ability to provide a complete commercial mechanical construction estimate and proposal for either plan/spec or design/build projects including plumbing, hydronic piping and sheet metal work.
- Ability to understand/coordinate Mechanical Construction with other building trades (Architectural/Structural etc.)
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems including rooftop units, air handlers, chillers, boilers, heat pumps, control systems, piping and ductwork.
- Computer literate with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook with good communication and writing abilities.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines with an emphasis on multitasking.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational time management skills.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
