HVAC / Refrigeration Technician
As an HVAC/Refrigeration Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing our HVAC and mechanical systems. Approximately 70% of your time will be dedicated to HVACR maintenance work, while the remaining 30% will involve supporting the maintenance team in their daily preventive maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities:
HVACR Maintenance:
· Conduct routine maintenance on HVACR systems, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting components as necessary.
· Diagnose and repair HVACR equipment malfunctions, such as faulty thermostats, compressors, and motors.
· Perform thorough inspections of HVACR systems to identify issues and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
· Install new HVACR systems and components, ensuring proper installation and functionality.
· Utilize computerized direct digital control (DDC) systems to monitor, identify, and correct problems in heating and ventilation systems.
· Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed on HVACR systems.
· Collaborate on HVACR design work as required.
· Collaborate with area managers and other team members to address HVACR-related issues promptly and effectively.
Supporting the Maintenance Team:
· Assist the Maintenance team with daily preventive maintenance tasks, such as inspecting electrical systems, plumbing fixtures, and building structures.
· Participate in equipment inspections and safety checks to maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations.
· Respond to emergency maintenance requests and assist in resolving urgent issues as they arise.
· Perform ad hoc duties as required.
Qualifications:
· 2-5 years of experience as an HVACR Technician, with a focus on maintenance and repair work.
· HVACR Refrigeration certification is required.
· Experience with computerized direct digital control (DDC) systems is highly desirable.
· Gas Ticket, Plumbing Ticket, and Electrical Ticket are considered nice-to-haves.
· Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a variety of HVACR systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration units.
· Knowledge of HVACR codes, regulations, and safety guidelines.
· Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
· Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
