About the Company? 

The Healing Lodge of the Seven Nations is a residential treatment facility for youth with co-occurring disorders (chemical dependency and mental health). The Healing Lodge provides a safe and caring treatment setting located on 51 acres. Our wellness program offers a peaceful environment for treatment balanced in traditional, cultural, and spiritual values and practices. These values and practices foster respect, honesty, generosity, strong cultural identification and hope for positive life changes. The Healing Lodge treatment program integrates cultural teachings and traditions into modern evidence-based practices in order to create a holistic approach toward healing. Residents include both Native American and non-Native youth from all areas of the country.? 

About the Position? 

The Human Resources Training Specialist is a critical component of the Healing Lodge.  The Trainer is responsible for onboarding and training all staff to maintain compliance with regulatory agencies and to prepare all staff to work in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary behavioral health organization. The trainer is also responsible for developing specialized training by department to support organizational needs and succession planning ie: New Supervisor Training, Leadership Training, and other HR related trainings. The position requires excellent organizational and computer skills and the ability to multi-task. This position also requires excellent attention to detail and the ability to work well with other programs. 

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: 

1. Develop and facilitates orientation and training schedules and continues to evaluate employee performance and restructure training as needed to meet staff training needs.  

2. Creates and identifies learning programs to teach employees skills that are beneficial for their position and professional development, particularly in safety, education and supervision. 

3. Plans and participates in developing training course objectives. 

4. Presents training/instruction to both groups and individuals 

5. Promote team building by actively participating and supporting staff development through team building exercises/trainings. 

6. Participation and support in any outside trainers coming in to provide program specific training.  This will include scheduling, coordinating space, planning meals/snacks, coordinating with Facilities to arrange any needed equipment. 

7. Responsible for ensuring all staff comply with The Healing Lodges training requirements and all relevant regulatory requirements. 

8. Conduct Training needs analyses to determine specific training needs for department staff and evaluate effectiveness. 

9. Liaison with managers to determine training needs and schedule training sessions. 

10. Identify, develop and conduct appropriate training programs, including selecting and designing appropriate training aids. 

11. Send reports to compliance program identifying any employees out of compliance with their training schedule quarterly. 

12. Utilize Relias to track training for compliance and ensure all staff complete training within the quarter in which they were hired. 

13. Scheduling trainings quarterly and publish to all staff and supervisors. Ensure calendar invites are sent to all staff requiring training as they are scheduled. 

14. Participates in Healing Lodge sponsored events ie: Safety Committee, Employee Engagement, etc.  

15. Other duties as assigned. 

 Position Requirements:

Education and/or Experience: 

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field that demonstrate the ability to perform the duties outlined. Possess a minimum of two years' experience in training, employee development, public speaking or related experience. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

CPR/First Aid/AED Trainer Certified (within 6 months of hire) 

Right Response Trainer Certification (within 6 months of hire) 

QPR Instructor Certified (within 6 months of hire) 

Strong background in Human Resources and employee development 

Experience working in a Behavioral Health Organization 

Strong knowledge of Compliance 

o Preferred experience with Accreditation Agencies, WAC, RCW, DOL, etc 

Proven ability to develop innovative solutions to training needs organization wide 

Experience working with adolescents highly beneficial. 

Knowledge of Native American Indian Youth Inpatient Treatment Centers, substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders is highly beneficial. 

To perform this position successfully, must be highly proficient in Outlook, Sharepoint, Teams, Powerpoint, data management systems, and electronic training systems.
