Position Title: Human Resources Manager

Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000 DOE


SCOPE OF WORK

The Human Resources Manager supports all aspects of human resources practices and processes to including job design, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training & development and talent management.



RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Partners closely with the Director of Human Resources to conduct ongoing assessments of our internal company procedures and policies. Your focus will be on enhancing efficiency and fostering innovation to ensure that our HR practices remain agile and responsive to evolving needs.
  • Partners with leaders to create and cultivate a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Serves as a resource and liaison for employee relations issues demonstrating a knowledgeable and comprehensive approach. Inspire trust and confidence with employees and leaders with the HR partnership.
  • Ensure that A&R Group attracts, hires, and retains the best employees, while growing a talent pipeline.
  • Lead H2B Visa and J-1 Visa application process and administration.
  • Be entrusted with safeguarding and managing all confidential HR-related data. Your role will require strict adherence to data protection regulations to ensure the security and privacy of sensitive information.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of our Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and ensure that employee records are up to date. Your commitment to data confidentiality and compliance will be essential in supporting HR operations.
  • Actively participate in the design and development of HR communication initiatives.
  • Assists with EEOC/DOL claims and any other claims filed against the company, including gathering historical employment data and company data.
  • Collaborates with HR staff on Workers Compensation and FMLA leave administration process. Provides employees initial notice of the need for leave to the return to work. This includes gathering and completing all required paperwork, determining leave eligibility, designating leave as FMLA-qualifying, requesting medical certification as needed, and accounting for intermittent and reduced schedule leave use.
  • Work closely with other departments, including sales, development, and hospitality management, to ensure alignment between teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent in training, education and/or experience.
  • HRM certification preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience performing advanced HR duties related to organization design, change management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, recruitment and staffing, training, and leadership/management development including succession planning.
  • Hospitality industry experience (strongly preferred), with a strong understanding of its unique challenges and dynamics.
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Previous experience with H2B visa processes and immigration-related matters is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects to reach specific deadlines.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Regularly required to operate a variety of automated office machines which includes a computer, printer, facsimile machine, copy machine, calculator, telephone, etc.
  • Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or materials.
  • Must be able to exert up to twenty pounds of force occasionally and up to ten pounds of force frequently.
  • Physical demand requirements are at levels of those for sedentary work.
  • Regularly required to use written and oral communication skills; read and interpret data, information and documents; analyze and solve problems; use math and mathematical reasoning; observe and interpret situations; learn and apply new information or skills; and interact with staff, other organizations and the public.
  • Must be able to travel up to 10%.
