Human Resources Intern
Transitions Healthcare, LLC a premier Long Term Care provider in Pennsylvania and Maryland is looking for an energetic, outgoing, and enthusiastic Human Resources Intern for the summer with the possibility of hours moving into the fall semester. This is a hybrid role with some days working out of our Pittsburgh area facilities.
This internship will provide you an opportunity to practice your customer service, data analytic, critical thinking skills across multiple departments. You will learn from business leaders and walk away from this internship with effective skills.

Our Intern's primary focus will be to support the Human Resources function of the company by providing support to individual facilities in the execution of Talent Acquisition strategies to include sourcing (including but not limited to proactive networking, internet searching, cold calling, resume mining, database searching, utilization of social media, etc.), pre-screening and scheduling of interviews, develop and present recommendations on qualified candidates to hiring managers.
Human Resources Intern Essential Job Functions:
Under the guidance of the Director of Human Resources, Talent Acquisition Manager, and facility Administrator - utilize sourcing techniques and leverages technology to find active and passive candidates, cold calling, and establishing a network of talent and resources. Produce fresh, creatively written and visually supported social content that supports the business staffing needs.
• Gain knowledge and experience of Talent Acquisition’s recruiting process
• Initiate and maintain contact with qualified candidates for specific job openings through recruitment and hiring process.
• Learn how to screen resumes for various open positions
• Maintain metrics for talent process.
• Evaluates applicants by discussing job recruitment and applicant qualifications with hiring location managers.
• Source candidates resume databases and networking sites.
• Schedule high volume requests of candidates for interviews
• Composing and posting employment advertisements to various internal and external media; and using social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates, researching new ways of using the internet for recruitment.
• Assist with special Talent Acquisition projects
• Conducting regular follow-up with managed locations to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans; analyzing and recommending strategies to improve recruitment and selection process operations.
• Manage the recruiting process to ensure adherence with all equal employment opportunity (EEOC) legislation, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and other Federal and State compliance requirements.
• Ability to travel between select facilities on an ongoing basis to support the talent acquisition process.
• Push, pull, move and/or lift average-weight objects up to 25 pounds and able to sit, bend and stoop. Use a computer and keyboard for six (6) hours or more daily. Stand and/or walk for two (2) hours or more daily. (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.)
• Performs other duties as determined and assigned from time to time.

Human Resources Intern Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be a current Bachelor’s student entering junior or senior year or recent graduate
• Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher
• Previous social media experience with content or campaign creation a plus
• Demonstrate competence in Microsoft Office suite
• Creative thinking and strong written and oral communication.
• Valid driver’s license without restrictions.
