Human Resources Generalist
As the Human Resource Generalist at Chief of Minds, you will support clients with HR related duties such as benefit administration, performance management, training and development, onboarding, offboarding, policy implementation, recruitment, and employment management for assigned clients. This position resolves human resources related problems and ensures effective use of policies, assist with compliance, and positive employee relations. The Generalist must be able to adjust with supporting multiple clients and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Functions

• Partners with internal and client employees and management to communicate
various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and other
government regulations.
• Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and
procedures; prepares and maintains the employee handbook and the policies and procedures
manual.
• Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data and makes recommendations to the
management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.
• Responds to employee relations issues such as employee complaints and
harassment allegations; represents management in investigating, answering and
settling grievances.
• Represents the company and/or clients with unemployment claims disputes.
• Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and
terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance
providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
• Serves as backup payroll processor for the payroll department.
• Submits online investigation requests and assists with new-employee
background checks.
• Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends
corrective action.
• Assists with processing of terminations.
• Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
• Assists with recruitment efforts for all exempt, nonexempt, students,
temporary employees, and assists with the interviewing process.
• Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
• Minimum four years of human resources experience (employee relations,
policies, payroll, benefit administration, HR audits, etc.)
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate
to individuals at all levels internally and externally.
• Experience in a consulting or high paced environment managing multiple
projects/clients
• Proven track record of success
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
