Human Resources - Payroll and Benefits Assistant

The employee in this position will maintain and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including wages, benefits, taxes, deductions, hires, terminations and changes to pay.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to :

-         Prepare weekly payroll reports

-         Prepare payroll reports and invoices for temp agencies

-         Fulfill worker's comp requirements

-         Administer insurance packets upon employee eligibility

-         Keep accurate and detailed employee files

-         Maintain appropriate records relating to COBRA

-         Assist employees with HR related questions

-         Assist the HR team with projects as assigned

-         Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures

Requirements -

-         Highly Proficient in Microsoft suite (proficient in Excel)

-         Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish, both written and verbal

-         Prior experience with the H-2B visa and J-1 student exchange programs

-         Strong verbal and written communication skills

-         Ability to interact well with others in a team environment

-         Previous experience in a similar roll
