Human Resources Administrator

The Human Resources (HR) Administrator is responsible for a range of administrative duties to support effective and efficient operations of the hospital’s Human Resources department. The HR Administrator is the primary point of contact for employees, in addition to assisting with the maintenance of employee records, onboarding employees, planning HR-related company events and other administrative tasks.
EDUCATION:
- Required: High School diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related field
EXPERIENCE:
- Required: At least 1 year experience in Human Resources
- Preferred: Previous HR experience in a healthcare/hospital setting
CERTIFICATIONS:
- Required: None
- Preferred: HRCI and/or SHRM certifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Proficiency in using computers, software and web-based applications, including but not limited to Microsoft office suite
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels throughout the organization
- Ability to quickly learn the organization’s HCM and other associated software applications
- Knowledge of benefits regulations, plan designs and compliant administration
- Knowledge of local, state and federal laws involving employment, HR and benefits
- Ability to analyze an issue and exhibit problem-solving skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to perform most essential job duties independently and exercise good judgment
- Flexible, detail-oriented, and multi-task effectively
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
- Must be a self-starter
Essential Job Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service when managing HR email address and incoming calls as primary contact for HR inquiries,
- Greets visitors to the HR office with professionalism, and assists with employee questions and/or requests
- Complete verification of employment requests in a timely manner
- Prepare and assist with the onboarding/orientation process for company new hires
- Maintains employee records and ensure accurate and timely document retention
- Assist with various HR processes and programs for all employees
- Assist with company-wide HR events and initiatives
- Assists with data entry in all HR systems
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resources records
- Assists employees and managers in answering questions related to any and all areas of Human Resources (compensation, benefits, employee relations, training, systems, etc)
- Assist in the enforcement of company policies and procedures consistently across the hospital
- Assist HR leadership with special projects, as needed by departmental goals
- Supports and implements the organization’s vision, mission and values.
- Complies with organizational policies and procedures.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
