HR Retirement Specialist

Cameo Consulting Group, LLC a management consulting practice based out of Alexandria, VA, is seeking a qualified and available HR Retirement Specialist to support a the Department of Transportation (MARAD) in Washington, D.C. The positions is full-time, long-term, and available upon contract award.

TASKS AND DUTIES:

• Calculating retirement estimates, in-processing new Federal employees (retirement estimates; retirement plan determination; service computation date calculations, etc.
• Reviewing personnel/military service records.
• Processing employee in-service changes to benefits enrollment, revering military/personnel service records and calculation federal service computation dates and retirement, leave, etc. and advising employees on the various programs (FEHB, Thrift Saving Plans, Dental, Life Insurance, Retirement, Long term disability, etc.
• Assist in providing employee counseling on retirement options, eligibility requirements.
• Assist in managing MARAD's Retirements Program, which requires assisting in planning, evaluation, and oversight of all personnel retirement service in consultation with HR components.
• Provide definitive answers involving complex benefit questions to employees and/or their survivors on the Civil Service Retirement system (CSRS, offset, FERS).

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have 4 years of Federal experience in processing retirement packages
• Shall have an associates or bachelors degree in human resource.
• Proficiency using Federal personnel/payroll systems (e.g, FPPS, FHR, E-OPF.
