HR Generalist
Responsibilities
- Facilitate all phases of the recruitment process. Screen and route resumes, schedule and conduct interviews, recommend qualified candidates, present offers, secure acceptances and conduct background checks.
- Collaborate with Department Managers to understand skills and competencies required for all positions.
- Collaborate with the Training and Development professional in Corporate HR, as well as on-site management team, to analyze Performance Reviews, identifying individual and group training needs.
- Design sourcing strategies. Identify the most efficient and cost-effective recruitment methods.
- Manage the requisition process, including creation, posting, and hiring in the Applicant Tracking System (iCIMS)
- Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees and supervisors.
- Plan and conduct new hire orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices.
- Participate in the succession planning process.
- Responsible for maintaining the highest level of integrity, professionalism, fairness and confidentiality in all aspects of job performance.
- Develop and maintain strong union labor relations by increasing involvement through regular onsite presence, attending monthly union meetings, and addressing labor concerns proactively to support a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field is preferred
- 3-5 years experience in HR; industry experience beneficial but not necessary
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Knowledge of employment related laws and regulations
- Familiar with recruiting and staffing practices
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency with or the ability to learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems

Pay: Up to $75,000.00 per year
