Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, values-driven Benefits Coordinator to join our growing HR team. The Benefits Coordinator will manage and administer company benefits programs for approximately 250+ employees, with projected growth to over 300 by year’s end. This role ensures benefit programs are administered accurately, in compliance with applicable regulations, while providing excellent service and education to our employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer employee benefits program including: health, dental, vision, life, disability, and other supplemental insurance programs as well as retirement planning.
- Manage annual open enrollment processes and benefit changes.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding related to benefits enrollment/termination.
- Act as a point of contact for employee benefit questions and education, providing useful and timely information.
- Validate benefit election forms, process enrollments/terminations, and confirm carrier coverage.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee benefit records for compliance with ACA, 5500 filings, audits, and other regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the HR Manager to evaluate, enhance, and implement benefit strategies and policies.
- Reconcile benefits invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Maintain compliance with COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, ACA, and other applicable laws.
- Partner with payroll to ensure accurate deduction processing.
- Assist in benefit plan renewals and vendor management.
- Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience administering benefits preferred.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills (HRIS, Excel, MS Office Suite).

Work Environment:
- Drug-free workplace.
- Must operate within the framework of our values-based culture.
- Primarily office-based role but will require some visits to our fabrication/Assembly locations for on-site enrollments as well as occasional meetings with brokers or benefit partners.
