HR Assistant/Payroll Specialist
Illinois Orthopedic Network PLLC, IL is seeking to hire a Full-Time HR Assistant/Payroll Specialist. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the HR and finance functions of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing: Manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Review and approve employee timecards.
- Collaborate with finance to ensure timely disbursement of salaries and benefits.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records related to payroll, taxes, benefits, and personal information changes.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality policies.
- HR Support: Assist in the recruitment process by coordinating interviews, collecting necessary documents, and assisting with onboarding activities.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and payroll matters.
- Onboarding new hires
- Stay informed about changes in labor laws, tax regulations, and HR best practices.
- Generate regular reports related to payroll and HR metrics.
- Analyze data to identify trends and propose improvements to streamline processes.
- Work closely with HR, finance department, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and cooperation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Finance, or related field.
- (OR) Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar HR support role.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and labor laws.
- Proficient in using HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and payroll software.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
