The position requires excellent communication skills - both written and verbal, along with the ability to support the operations and guest experience at PSSC. This is a full-time position required to work at the property. This position requires non-traditional working hours which includes working nights and weekends and holidays.

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at The Palm Springs Surf Club. As a Housekeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our waterpark facilities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for our guests and staff.

  

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning and Sanitizing:

Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in all public areas of the waterpark, including restrooms, changing rooms, and common areas.

Sanitize and disinfect frequently touched surfaces to maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.

Linen and Towel Management:

Collect and distribute clean towels and linens for guests, ensuring a constant supply is readily available.

Collect, sort, and transport used towels and linens to the laundry facility for washing and folding.

Trash Removal:

Empty trash bins and recycling containers regularly, ensuring proper disposal and maintaining a clean and clutter-free environment.

Restroom Maintenance:

Clean and maintain restroom facilities, ensuring they are well-stocked with supplies and free from odors and mess.

Stock and Inventory Control:

Monitor and report any inventory shortages of cleaning supplies and amenities.

Maintain a well-organized supply closet, ensuring all cleaning products are stored safely and labeled appropriately.

Reporting Maintenance Issues:

Report any maintenance or repair issues to the Facilities Manager promptly, ensuring the safety and functionality of the waterpark.

Lost and Found:

Assist in collecting and cataloging lost and found items and follow the established procedures for guest inquiries.

Guest Interaction:

Interact with guests in a courteous and friendly manner, providing assistance, directions, and information as needed. 

  

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Proven experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial roles is preferred.

Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and techniques.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Physical stamina and the ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Working Conditions:

This role may require working in indoor and outdoor environments in various weather conditions.

The housekeeper will be exposed to cleaning chemicals and cleaning equipment.

· Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach.

· Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.

· Continuous repetitive motions.

· Work in cold, dry, hot, humid, and noisy environments.
