We are seeking a reliable and efficient Housekeeping Room Inspector to assist the Executive Housekeeper in supervising the housekeeping activities and inspecting to perfect the guest sleeping rooms to ensure that our facilities are clean and well-maintained.  This position is somewhat flexible in terms of days and hours, although includes some weekends. We are looking for the person who can work at least 3 days per week during day shifts correlating with the Executive Housekeeper times off. The Housekeeping Team is responsible for cleaning guest rooms, common areas, and other areas of the facility, as well as performing tasks such as laundry inventory/order management. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.  Ram Hotels is based out of Columbus Georgia with six hotels in Birmingham and another 23 in the southeast USA.  

In January 2024, the Hilton Garden Inn Birmingham at Liberty Park hotel was ranked #3 by Birmingham Business Journal magazine and currently ranked #6 (out of 82 hotels) by TripAdvisor for the Greater Birmingham area.  This positive team is looking for a Room Inspector to continue these exceptional trends.  Located in the safest, prettiest and cleanest section of BHAM, the hotel is located directly under the Statue of Liberty at exit 23 on I-459. 

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect & Correct guest rooms and common areas, while documenting the work into the Hilton system.  

  • Perform tasks such as organizing laundry and inventory management when needed

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

  • Report any maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate team members

  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures

  • Other duties as assigned for the Housekeeping Department including assisting and cleaning guest rooms if needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a housekeeper or in a similar role

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask and handle a high-volume workload

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

  • Basic math skills and ability to lift up to 25 pounds if needed
