Housekeeping Inspector
The Lodge at Whitefish Lake, one of Montana's AAA Four Diamond resorts, is seeking a Housekeeping Inspector to work with our housekeeping team.
POSITIONS RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The Housekeeping Inspector is responsible for the cleanliness and appearance of guest accommodations and public space and to ensure each member of the housekeeping team carries out their assignments abiding by standards. Responsible for all housekeeping cleanliness standards The Housekeeping Inspector will be responsible for but not limited to handling and directing guest complaints concerning housekeeping, notifying maintenance of any needed repairs, approving rooms for occupancy and ensure room is 100% prior to placing it into the system, responsible for keeping all storage and linen rooms in a clean and satisfactory condition as well as stocked with needed items, etc.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ATTRIBUTES: Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must have dependable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to read, speak and understand the English language
- At least two years of experience in a housekeeping or laundry role
- A positive and friendly attitude towards guests, customers, and fellow employees
- Must be extremely detailed with outstanding communication skills
- Ability to follow directions both written and verbally
- Integrity to safeguard confidential information
- Demeanor to remain calm in tense or stressful situations
- Initiative to work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Flexible schedule
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds on occasion
- Must be able to push or pull a minimum of 100 pounds
SCHEDULE / HOLIDAYS / PTO
The Housekeeping Inspector is expected to normally keep a 5 day a week schedule but adjusted as needed according to occupancy and business need and be available for peak guest times and/or in the event of an emergency. A work week of 45 hours per week can be expected, however it can be more or less depending on the business needs of the Lodge. Working evenings, weekends and holidays can be expected. This role will typically be expected to work during peak seasons, typically taking PTO and vacations during slower seasons.
