Full-time Housekeeping Attendant
FUNCTION:
Under general supervision, cleans and maintains guest rooms for occupancy according to standards and procedures established by the Bavarian Inn Lodge. Seeks out opportunities to provide exceptional guest service. This is accomplished by training employees to greet all guests in a warm and friendly manner, training employees to be courteous to our guests and fellow employees, and setting an example for all co-workers. This is performed on a daily basis.
WORK PERFORMED:
1. Thoroughly cleans guest rooms and bathrooms as assigned, including floors, walls, windows and sills,
patio glass and balcony, closets, tubs, furniture, and fixtures according to Bavarian Inn Lodge
Housekeeping Department standards and procedures; checks blankets, bedspreads, and mattresses daily;
Changes if necessary. Moves and vacuums under furniture, flips mattresses and cleans hallways. Completes ‘Special Job’ duties on Linen Report Sheets.
2. Advises Housekeeping Supervisor/Lead immediately of repair and maintenance needs.
3. Reports to Housekeeping Supervisor/Lead and tags all items found anywhere on property. Turns in anything of value (Jewelry, phones, laptops, credit cards) to a Housekeeping Supervisor or Lead immediately.
4. Collects all card keys in guest rooms, turns them in at end of shift to Housekeeping Supervisor/Lead. Accepts responsibility for all card keys in possession.
5. Completes daily Housekeeping Linen Report Sheets; notes any missing linen or needed repairs. Gives
report to Housekeeping Supervisor/Lead at end of day.
6. Advises Housekeeping if status of guestroom is not as reported on Housekeeping Record Sheet.
Checks vacant rooms and takes the necessary steps and time to correct any discrepancies. Notifies
Lead or Supervisor when there are problems.
7. Maintains Housekeeping cart and storage area. Assumes responsibility for careful use of supplies.
8. Attends monthly departmental meetings.
9. Maintains a clean and sanitary work area at all times and follows all the requirements for personal
cleanliness.
10. Works in a safe manner at all times and eliminates or reports unsafe conditions.
11. Does not participate in or encourage gossip.
12. Provides exceptional service to guest expectations daily. Mus have a desire to make others happy, having a positive attitude, being the best you can at this job, and anticipating the guests’ needs.
13. Does not jeopardize the reputation of the Lodge or any other employee by becoming involved in
questionable situations.

Performs other duties as assigned or directed.
