Housekeeping
Position: Housekeeping Aide
The Housekeeping Aide plays a critical role in providing superior customer service and housekeeping services to all Residents in the facility. The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining environmental and infection control standards by performing a variety of general cleaning tasks.
Essential Functions
Cleans and sanitizes Resident rooms, offices, hallways and other areas inside the facility as well as outside upon request.
May operate mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, and related housekeeping equipment
Cleans vents, fan fixtures, top of windows, doorframes and other high areas using a ladder.
Performs deep cleaning procedures of Resident rooms and prepares rooms for new occupants.
Assures that established infection control and standard precaution practices are maintained at all times.
Must answer and respond to call lights promptly and courteously when working in Resident care areas.
Assist with new admissions, re-admissions and assist with the transfer of Residents to different rooms within the facility.
Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with Residents, visitors, families, peers and supervisors.
Required/Desired Qualifications:
High School Graduate or equivalent.
One year of experience in a housekeeping role preferred.
Detail-oriented and thorough.
Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of Residents.
Sufficient ability to read, write, and speak to complete work efficiently, effectively, and courteously.
