The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents, visitors, and staff at Senior Assistant Living Facility in the Mandeville, LA area. The role ensures the upkeep of residents' rooms, common areas, and facility grounds in compliance with facility standards and health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily cleaning tasks in residents' rooms, common areas, and other assigned spaces, including dusting, mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms, kitchens, and dining areas.
• Launder residents' personal items, linens, and facility-provided bedding according to schedule.
• Restock housekeeping supplies in designated areas.
• Ensure all cleaning tools and supplies are properly stored after use.
• Follow infection control procedures, including the safe handling and disposal of waste materials.
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or other concerns to the supervisor.
• Provide a high level of customer service to residents, ensuring their living spaces are comfortable and well-maintained.
• Comply with all facility policies and procedures, including confidentiality and resident rights.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards in compliance with state and local health regulations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in housekeeping or custodial services, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and supplies, with a focus on infection control and safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Compassion and patience when interacting with elderly residents.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
• May be exposed to cleaning chemicals, dust, and other environmental conditions common in housekeeping roles.
