The housekeeper works to ensure that the facility including resident rooms, hallways, offices and other specified areas are kept clean and in orderly condition. The appearance and maintenance of our facility is one of the reasons that families choose our facility when seeking placement for a loved one. Our housekeepers should be a service-minded individual with a cheerful, customer service attitude.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Use of housekeeping equipment to keep the facility clean, orderly and attractive at all times.

Provide daily housekeeping service(s) as assigned in a friendly manner using procedures as outlined in the housekeeping policy and procedure manual.

Provide a clean and pleasing appearance in all areas of the facility.

Assist in mealtime activities, including escorting the residents to and from meals and assisting the residents with their meals.

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Experience in housekeeping preferred, but will train.

Must work every other weekend and some holidays.

Must be able to work with residents and families in a friendly and professional manner and be able to work effectively with fellow coworkers.

Organizational abilities, follow-up skills and attention to detail in work areas and when communicating with residents and families.
