Essential Functions

• Responsible for the administrative management of hospital-wide patient care activities on his/her designated shift.
• Consults with staff, physicians, Director of Nursing, Chief Nursing Officer and/or designee on nursing procedures and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met.
• Manages department and the provision of nursing services, according to the Standards of Nursing Practice consistent with facility philosophy of care, state laws, federal laws, and regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, advanced level of analytical skills, and exceptional detail-orientation is required.
• Minimum of two years' supervisory experience is preferred.
• Requires current State Board of Nursing Registered Nurse licensure.
• BLS is required upon hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within 6 months of hire.
• De-escalation training is required within 30 days of hire.
