Position: House Person
Reports To: Executive Housekeeper
Summary of Position
Under the general guidance of the Executive Housekeeper, ensure that all hotel public areas including exterior, and interior are in clean working condition. Assist in housekeeping and maintenance as needed and respond to guest requests quickly and graciously.
Requirements
• Has a minimum one (1) years of facility experience.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Willing to work weekends and holidays based on business needs.
General Responsibilities
• Understand and follow all Housekeeping procedures.
• Understand and follow all safety procedures.
• Understand and follow all chemical safety guidelines.
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
• Maintain cleanliness of public spaces.
• Maintain stock of housekeeping and laundry supplies.
• Provide support to Laundry, Housekeeping and Guest Services team.
• Deliver guest request items.
Specific Responsibilities
• Demonstrate a high level of integrity, take ownership of personal actions, communicate effectively, promote collaboration, nurture a positive, professional work environment, and adhere to Operating Procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service and greet all guests with a smile.
• Prioritize daily workload, projects, and tasks with guidance of management.
• Conduct daily property walks of interior and exterior to ensure the safety, security and quality for guests and associates.
• Clean, dust and sanitize all public spaces:
o Exterior of building and parking lot
o Interior corridors and elevators
o Fitness center
o Guest laundry
o Pool area
o Lobby areas
o Public restrooms
o Additional hotel spaces as assigned by management.
• Clean, vacuum and shampoo carpets and floors in all public areas.
• Remove all trash from public spaces.
• Transport soiled linen to house laundry and clean linen to storage and carts.
• Set up banquet space for meetings.
• Refresh or clean up banquet space after use.
• Assist guests with baggage upon request.
• Assist Guest Services with guest requests and deliveries.
• Assist Housekeeping with cleaning duties as needed.
• Assist Laundry with linen duties as needed.
• Report maintenance items that need to be repaired.
• Fully understand and be able to perform all duties of Guest Room Attendant and Laundry Attendant
• Perform other duties as needed and requested by management.
