House Lead
The House Lead oversees the smooth operation of a consumer’s home. They will assist the Assistant Director of Housing as needed. The House Lead must possess strong communication skills. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Housing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but is not meant to be a complete list.
The House Lead may make suggestions and recommendations as to the hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other change of status of other employees will be given particular weight.
Regularly supervises two or more employees in the department
Supervises Direct Service Providers (DSPs) including but not limited to providing training, leading meetings, and frequent communication regarding consumers and site care
Ensures that medications are ordered, staff are administering medications properly
Reviews the Medical Administration Records (MAR) to confirm its accuracy
Ensures all incidents/accidents are reviewed and reported daily within the required time guidelines and reviewed for accuracy
Attend team meetings and provide input regarding client’s needs and goals.

Serve as a professional role model and demonstrate teamwork amongst staff, clients, and other departments within the agency
Ensure that Direct Service Providers (DSPs) are treated with dignity & respect.
May be required to exercise independent judgment and discretion with respect to expending consumer’s funds for their personal needs, furnishing food and other personal items within the parameters of their personal budget
Maintain acceptable work standards in all areas; including attendance, punctuality, and professionalism
Exercises discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters in maintaining and cleaning living units in coordination any needs with the landlord

Requirements
Minimum High School diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience)
Intervention Specialist (preferred)
Strong communication skills and proficiency in English.
Possess and maintain First Aid/CPR (or willing to obtain)
Pass and maintain all assigned Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) training
Pass a background and drug test
Possess and maintain a driving record with less than six (6) points
Prior experience working with individuals with MRDD/DODD (preferred)
Must be able to work days, evenings, overnights and/or weekends based upon the needs of the designated site
Salary commensurate with experience
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises employees. Carries our supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Physical Requirements:
Duties performed typically in school settings to include: classrooms and recreational areas. Frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, equipment and/or material may be required. Other physical activities may be required.
Prolonged periods standing and walking within the community and other school activities.
Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at a time.
Must be able to assist students who have physical difficulties.
Must be able to kneel, sit, stand, crawl, push, and pull to assist and teach students throughout the day.
