Hotel Breakfast Host (Full-time) - Hampton Inn by Hilton Wichita NW

To provide outstanding customer service by welcoming guests to our breakfast area. To anticipate guest needs and provide helpful and attentive service that exceeds expectations. Hourly compensation starts at $14.00 an hour.

Our Breakfast attendant position is available from the hours of 5:00am - noon. Normally scheduled workdays are Wednesday thru Sunday. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:

• Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests.
• Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
• Set up breakfast area.
• Prepare hot and cold foods according to operational policies and standards.
• Attend to guests needs to ensure the buffet line is stocked and replenished as needed to serve the guests in a timely manner.
• Clean kitchen, dishes, cookware, buffet area, and dining area to maintain cleanliness of kitchen/breakfast area to hotel standards and all health codes at all times.
• Inventory food items and report on supplies to be ordered.
• Control inventory for loss, waste and spoilage.
• Dispose of trash and recyclables.
• Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.
• Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
• Communicates effectively with guests to understand their wants and needs, accommodates appropriately with urgency.
• Listen and respond positively and professionally to guests' requests or complaints; interact with guests in a friendly and cheerful manner as directed by leadership.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for an 8-hour shift.
• Must be able to lift and carry at least 25 lbs.
• Must be able to bend, squat, reach above shoulder level, kneel, grasp, push and pull.

Prior customer service experience is a plus, but not required.  Hours vary depending on business needs, job performance, and schedule availability.
