City Line Bar and Grill is offering the chance to join our team! Our high volume, fast paced restaurant is now seeking hosts to be the face of our restaurant.

Daily jobs include but are not limited to the following:

• Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services.
• Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival.
• When possible, open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant.
• When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and number of people in party into the computer system.
• Call out or page guests when tables become available.
• Provide guests with estimated waiting time.
• Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible.
• Seat guest guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations.
• Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server’s name. Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness. 
• Answer the phone and take messages when necessary.
• Take takeout orders from guests.
• Inspect takeout orders for accuracy.
• Accept payment and complete sale of takeout orders.
• Take reservations and input into the system.
• Relay messages to servers as needed.
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
• Perform side work at the beginning, during, and end of each shift as required by service station assignment.

Requirements include:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Minimum of 1 year of customer service, retail sales, or food service experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner
• Ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
• Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers in English
• Must have exceptional grooming habits.
• Be able to operate a computer and/or tablet device.
