Home Infusion Director of Nursing - Stuart Florida

Position Summary:

         We are seeking a licensed and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead and manage our home infusion nursing program in Southeast Florida. The DON will oversee all aspects of clinical operations, ensure compliance with Florida state regulations (including AHCA standards), and foster a culture of clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Direct and coordinate nursing operations for home infusion services across the state of Florida.

·         Ensure full compliance with Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), Medicare, and accrediting bodies (e.g., ACHC, The Joint Commission).

·         Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate nursing staff to ensure quality and compliance.

·         Maintain and enforce policies and procedures specific to Florida’s home health and infusion regulations.

·         Collaborate with pharmacy, intake, scheduling, and billing teams to ensure coordinated care delivery.

·         Conduct audits, performance reviews, and competency assessments for all nursing staff including external nursing staff.

·         Act as a clinical resource for nursing protocols, patient assessments, and infusion therapies.

·         Oversee infection control and quality improvement programs.

·         Travel within the state of Florida as needed for supervision, training, and audits.

Qualifications:

·         Active and unencumbered Florida RN license (required).

·         Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s in Nursing (MSN) or related field preferred.

·         Minimum 5 years of RN experience with at least 2 years in home infusion or alternate-site infusion therapy.

·         Minimum 2 years of leadership or management experience.

·         Thorough understanding of Florida AHCA regulations and home infusion standards of care.

·         Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

·         Willingness to travel across Florida as needed.

Preferred Skills:

·         IV therapy certification

·         Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) used in home health

·         ACHC or Joint Commission survey experience
