Home Health Aid/Certified Nursing Assistant

Serenity CareGiving of Connecticut is currently hiring to fill positions for certified home health aides/ homemakers, personal care aides & companions $17-$24/ hour. HHA/CNA positions open on an ongoing basis.

*Bilingual applicants are a plus, but not a requirement. *

Candidate Qualifications:

1. A self-directed, team player, who is dedicated, kind & compassionate, with a sincere desire to help others.
2. Strong customer service and communication skills
3. Demonstrates the ability to observe and correctly report changes in client’s condition, abilities, behavior, needs and preferences that require follow up by RN.
4. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to follow the client centered plan of care.
5. Experienced in providing personal care, grooming, dressing, assistance with exercise, ambulation, transfers, medication and other reminders, social interaction, memory care, errands, meal prep, light cleaning, safety supervision and other duties as per plan of care. 
6. Following the rules regarding your level of caregiver practice, agency policies & procedures related to care delivery and other employment processes as required.
7. Provides services in a skillful & efficient manner. Respecting client’s preferences whenever feasible.
8. Must have the appropriate training & active HHA/CNA certification to start employment.
9. All employees of SCG must pass a drug screening and criminal background check.

**Direct care workers have differing levels of training, skills and job duties, with some overlap of duties. Thus, the job rates of pay are dependent upon job title, experience, skill set & the complexity of care. **

Benefits

1. Flexible work schedule – we have shifts with a few hours per day to shifts of 12 to 24 hours per day, with any conceivable number of days per week available. Live in shifts are available at very competitive rates of pay. 
2. Full time, part time, per-diem, weekends, am, pm, shifts, on call, and fill ins. We diligently try to assign you the hours per day & frequency per week you prefer. We have shifts to fit most caregiver’s needs.
