Position Overview
The Inside Sales Representative serves as the first point of contact for potential clients, families, and referral partners. This role is responsible for qualifying leads,guiding families through our services and how we can support their loved ones, confirming client eligibility and insurance, and coordinating all necessary steps to ensure a smooth onboarding process. As an inside sales rep you work closely with Service Coordinators, Admissions, Recruiting, and the Coordination team to move each client from inquiry to active care. You are not just “selling care” but you are managing a fast-moving pipeline where empathy, speed, and strategic communication are everything.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct structured intake calls to collect clients information, including care needs, caregiver preference, and referral source.
Verify insurance coverage (e.g., Keystone, UPMC, Medicare, Medicaid) to determine service eligibility.
Explain the benefits of our services and walk families through the home care process with empathy and urgency.
Assess client fit for agency services based on coverage, care requirements, and agency guidelines.
Maintain daily call activity to follow up with interested clients and move them to 'Start of Care’
Handle a high volume of daily inbound and outbound calls (100+ per day).
Accurately enter intake data into CRM (ZOHO) systems.
Assign lead statuses and provide clear follow-up notes.
Maintain communication with Service Coordinators and referral sources.
Confirm all onboarding steps are completed prior to activation.
Attend weekly pipeline meetings and communicate case progress clearly.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred.
What You Need to Succeed:
Associate/Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing or a preferred field.
2+ years of experience in sales, or intake (healthcare or insurance preferred).
Knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare, MCOs, and home care authorizations is a huge plus.
Strong phone communication skills, persistence, and ability to 'close' with care.
Experience using CRM systems (Zoho preferred).
Ability to handle objections and explain complex info in a calm, professional manner.
