High School Teacher (Grades 9-12, All Subjects) – Full-Time, Part-Time & Substitute
Job Summary:
Carter G. Woodson School is looking for dedicated, subject-matter experts to teach high school students (grades 9-12) for the 2025-2026 school year. We seek educators who are committed to preparing students for college, careers, and lifelong success.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement challenging, standards-aligned lessons in core academic subjects (ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies) and electives.
- Use real-world applications and technology to enhance student learning.
- Track student progress through assessments, projects, and portfolio-based evaluations.
- Foster a growth mindset and college/career readiness in all students.
- Maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a specific subject area.
- NC teaching license is highly recommended, but not required.
- Strong instructional skills and ability to differentiate learning.
- Passion for student success and academic growth.
