Heavy Equipment Operator

Function: Provide superior service by way of installation, service and maintenance of heavy equipment in accordance with all Clearview Solar policies and procedures.

Work Environment:

·         Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, like sitting, squatting, standing, walking, and driving.

·         Must be able to lift to 50lbs while using proper lifting techniques, stand, walk on uneven surfaces, manually manipulate, grasp, reach out and above shoulder, climb, kneel, bend, twist, and push/pull.

·         Must endure regular exposure to all weather conditions, including hot, cold, humid, and rainy during all seasons throughout the year.

·         May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on sites of projects being managed or coordinated.

·         Must wear proper Personal Protective Equipment as required by work tasks, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, steel toe/composite toe boots and high visible vest when working on-site.

Qualifications Required

·         Highschool Diploma or GED

·         NCCER Certification and 3 years’ experience, or 5 years’ experience under licensed electrician.  

·         Hold or be able to obtain OSHA 10

·         Ability to travel to various job sites throughout the US

·         A high level of time management, accountability, and prioritization skills. 

·         Proficient verbal and written communication skills, strong level of interpersonal skills. 

·         Exceptional Critical Thinking, Time Management, Accountability, and Prioritization skills. 

·         Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to accomplish department goals. 

·         Ability to be organized, problem solve, and be solution oriented. 

·         The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

·         Excellent decision-making skills.

·         Detail Oriented- a high level of attention to detail is required.

·         Must have a clean valid driver license.

·         Pass a pre-employment criminal background check, driving record check and drug screen.

Prefered Requirements

·         Operator Certifications - excavator and lull

·         Experience in the Solar industry
