Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will operate various types of heavy machinery—including excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, and loaders—to support construction and agricultural drainage projects. Operator must ensure safe, efficient, and precise operation of equipment in compliance with company policies and safety standards. Candidate will also be required to supervise a team of operators during seasonal peak times.  

Key Responsibilities:

·         Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, skid steers, and front-end loaders.

·         Land clearing, excavation, drainage, erosion control

·         Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment before and after operation.

·         Collaborate with managers and other equipment operators to meet project goals.

·         Maintain a clean and safe work area; comply with OSHA and company safety standards.

·         Report mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately to supervisors.

·         Follow project timelines and directions from supervisors.

·         Participate in safety briefings and training sessions as required.

·         Supervise a team of operators during harvest season.

Qualifications:

·         High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

·         Minimum of five years of experience operating heavy equipment.

·         Valid driver’s license

·         Certification or training in heavy equipment operation

·         Strong understanding of safety procedures and equipment maintenance.

·         Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and in varying weather conditions.

·         Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.

Physical Requirements:

·         Ability to sit or stand for long periods.

·         Lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.

·         Work in outdoor conditions including heat, cold, rain, and dust.
