Healthcare IT Strategy SME
Rapid Strategy is seeking a mission-driven SME Journeyman to support the Assistant Director for Health Care Administration (ADHCA) within the Defense Health Agency (DHA). This position will assist in driving forward healthcare readiness and digital modernization through strategic IM/IT planning, process improvement, and workforce optimization across the Military Health System (MHS).
The SME will play a critical role in analyzing current systems, guiding business process transformation, and supporting strategic initiatives that directly impact military treatment facilities and enterprise medical delivery.
Overview:
The SME Journeyman will serve as a trusted advisor supporting strategic planning, IM/IT guidance, and healthcare administration initiatives under the direction of the ADHCA. This role bridges healthcare delivery policy and technical modernization strategies, with a focus on workforce alignment, readiness operations, and business process improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Provide subject matter expertise in health IT policy, manpower planning, and IM/IT integration.
- Support strategic initiatives related to force health readiness and MTF optimization.
- Develop and analyze documentation supporting enterprise IT/workforce transformation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve delivery models across the Military Health System (MHS).
- Contribute to cross-functional teams in the areas of planning, analysis, and process redesign.
- Support the development of briefing materials, recommendations, and executive-level reporting.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in strategic planning, healthcare administration, or IT management.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Familiarity with Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs), DHA, or DoD health policy.
- Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and data visualization tools is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in public health, IT, or a related field preferred.
