Head Housekeeper
The Head Housekeeper is responsible for providing supervision and direction for all housekeeping activities of the hotel to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and guest satisfaction are maintained.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Daily laundry operation.
- Inspect guestrooms to ensure those cleanliness standards as well as proper amenity and literature placement has been met. (all rooms vacant/ stay-over and checkout)
- Assist in training of room attendants in housekeeping standards and procedures.
- Responsible for Monthly Linen Inventory; take accurate stock of linens, guest room supply inventory, and cleaning supplies.
- Ordering supplies for housekeeping ( Biweekly), including linen, guest room supplies and laundry cleaning supplies.
- In charge of scheduling room attendants as well as monitoring their work and progress.
- Maintain housekeeping turnover to a minimum.
- Ensure an organized and detail oriented working area.
- Ensure smooth, efficient, and economic operation in the housekeeping and laundry departments of the hotel. Make sure that housekeepers follow proper grooming standards per company handbook.
- Monitor staffs room cleaning time allotment.
- Will be required to do special request as mandated by franchise (ex: room set up for onsite sales call, honors or rewards set up per franchise standards, etc.)
- Assists with cleaning and servicing of guest rooms as necessary.
- Assist in the development of the master cleaning schedules
- Provide front desk with rooms status on a regular basis throughout the workday.
- Ensures that Housekeeping staff does not sit on the clock.
- Make sure the entire hotel, including guest rooms, corridors and exteriors are clean to standards.
- Communicate with maintenance on a regular basis to ensure open tasks are complete.
- Ensure laundry room, all storage rooms, and back office is always clean.
- During slow days and or busy days you will be required to clean rooms and do laundry.
- Perform additional task given by management.

Minimum Experience, Education, Skill & Physical Requirements:
* Previous housekeeping or laundry experience preferred.
* General knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safety preferred.
* Must be able to lift 25 to 50 lbs.
* Must be able to spend the majority of the day walking, twisting, bending, squatting, pushing & pulling.
* Strong attention to detail required.
* Must be able to follow written and verbal directions.
* Must be flexible in hours and days worked
* Must be available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and also during holiday periods.
* Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
