Head Boys' Varsity Lacrosse Coach - Upper School
The head coach, in collaboration with athletic administration, is responsible for the overall leadership and administration of the boys' lacrosse program. The program is expected to be a reflection of the AACS Mission and Core Values and highest standards of conduct. Head coaches are expected to develop student-athletes in areas of spiritual formation, leadership capacity, academic excellence, athletic skill, perseverance and competitiveness.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of the boys' lacrosse program, including planning and running practices, in-game coaching and overseeing assistant coaches.
- Model and instill the core values of discipline, integrity, perseverance, respect, integrity and unity.
- Foster a positive and competitive team culture that emphasizes personal growth, sportsmanship, and team success.
- Build strong relationships with student-athletes, parents, and the broader school community.
- Support the athletic department's mission to pursue excellence in athletics while honoring Christ in competition.
- Collaborate with the athletic department on scheduling, team needs, and program development.
- Run off-season training programs in accordance with league rules and athletic program structure.
Qualifications:
- Agreement with the AACS Statement of Faith
- Prior coaching experience at the high school, club, or collegiate level.
- Knowledge of the game and the ability to teach technical, tactical, and mental aspects of the sport.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- CPR/First Aid Training Certification (or willingness to obtain prior to the season).
- Ability to work collaboratively with school administration and other coaches.
Compensation:
This is a stipend position. Additional opportunities may be available within the school depending on qualifications and openings.
