Specific Internship Descriptions:
Front Office Internship: The Front Office Intern will be trained on all roles within the front office (front desk agent, guest experience agent, phone operator - PBX, bell/valet), review of all departmental SOPs, dive into departmental efficiencies, shadow Front Office Supervisor and Front Office Manager. Forbes Training will be conducted on property by a Forbes Trainer, elevating luxury service standards and guest service techniques. This opportunity will work shifts in all roles in the Front Office.
Rooms Internship: The Rooms Intern focuses on the heart of hotels; housekeeping. The Rooms Intern will be trained on all roles within the housekeeping department (room attendant, laundry, public spaces, house person, inspector), review of all departmental SOPs, dive into department efficiencies, shadow the Housekeeping Floor Inspectors, Housekeeping Supervisors and Director of Housekeeping. The role will primarily focus on room inspections and requires a keen eye for detail, guest comforts and good communication skills. Forbes Training will be conducted on property by Forbes Trainer, elevating luxury service and guest comfort techniques.
Food & Beverage Internship: The Food & Beverage Intern focuses on all Food & Beverage aspects at Harbor View Hotel (Bettini Restaurant, Behind the View, Roxy Pool Bar, Pool Service, In Room Dining and Banquet Events). The Food & Beverage Intern will be trained on all roles within the Food & Beverage department (host, dining room attendant, server, barback, bartender, supervisor), review of all departmental SOPs, dive into department efficiencies, shadow the F&B Supervisors, F&B Managers Supervisors and Director of Food & Beverage. The role will primarily focus on supervisory responsibilities and requires a passion for luxury guest service. Forbes Training will be conducted on property by Forbes Trainer, elevating luxury service and guest recovery techniques.
Culinary Internship: The Culinary Intern will be trained on all roles within the kitchen (prep, line cook, garmage, pastry, kitchen supervisor), review of all departmental SOPs, dive into departmental efficiencies, shadow Sous Chefs, Chef de Cuisine and Executive Chef. Forbes Training will be conducted on property by a Forbes Trainer providing foundations for the hospitality industry. The role will be assigned to stations and scheduled for cook responsibilities. Culinary specific education required.
